Parents’ fear of maths linked to lower achievement in children – new research

“Mathematics anxiety is a feeling of tension and fear when dealing with numbers or performing calculations.”

While parents with high levels of math anxiety did not make it mre likely that their children would also have math anxiety, the research found “children of parents with maths anxiety did less well in math.”
