High Levels of Chronic Absence Affect All Kids, Not Just Those Missing School

Comment: I can attest to the fact that when a large number of students are absent, as in a “rainy day” the teacher continues teaching but will have to re-teach those student who were absent. In a chronic absenteeism classroom, the consequences of missed lessons are greater and the potential is there for regularly attending students slipping into chronic absenteeism.
