"We’re measuring educational opportunity in every community in America." Stanford Educational Opportunity Project

“The Educational Opportunity Project (EOP) at Stanford University is a research initiative that houses The Stanford Education Data Archive (SEDA), the first comprehensive national database of academic performance data made available to scholars, policymakers, educators, and families to learn about the landscape of educational opportunity in the United States.”

Comment: The takeaway from the project is that the ability of students in various regions isn’t that different, but the educational opportunity varies greatly, making for the disparities in achievement.
