Publication: Understanding Latino Parental Involvement in Education

This research conducted in 2007 contains valuable, still pertinent today, perceptions and expectations of school leadership and how it differs from parental and student perceptions. The disconnect between expectations of the various groups can ultimately determine the success or lack of success of parental involvement in education.

Reading the research would be a good periodic check on administrators and coordinators of parent engagement programs.
